February 4th 2017 / JESUS AND LYSOL

When you want to kill viruses and bacteria then Lysol is a great product to use. I have been using it like crazy the last few days so I to not contaminate anyone or myself with what made me sick. Just spray here and there and gone is all the nasty bad stuff. I wish every time I sin I could just spray the nasty away... but it does not work that way.

 It took a savior to shed atoning blood to clean our nasty bad sins away. I am grateful that Savior is Jesus Christ who cleaned our mess up by washing our sins away with the atoning blood He shed on the cross for us. Sinful viruses and bacteria are rendered impotent to the Blood of Jesus. As if that was not enough He rose three days later from the grave to give us eternal life in Heaven with Him. We now can live a healthy spiritual life with the help of Jesus who disinfected our sin.

Romans 3:22-26New Living Translation (NLT)

22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 
24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 
25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,
26 for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus, for being our Savior and freeing us from sin by faith in You alone, amen.

CATHOLIC TENDENCIES

  Ever since I was introduced to the Catholic Church I have been fascinated by this body of the Christian faith. One thing that has stuck with me that I admire is the unashamed strength to stand up for what they believe and back it up with The Three Pillars of the Church. Now for those who do not know The Three Pillars, they are number one, Sacred Scripture which comprises the Old Testament and New Testament in a total of seventy-three books. Next is the Apostolic Tradition which is the Living Tradition and the liturgies. Thirdly, The Living Magisterium which is the teaching authority of the Pope in Communion with the Bishops. So what brought this topic up for me is listening to a podcast by Fr.   I have recently been thinking about what it is like to live in a time when you have to rethink or fact-check everything. It is tiring and outright exhausting not being able to trust things at face value.
