I am amazed how trees and bushes survive winters with the cold temperatures and icy snow. They look so dead, just a brown stick. Yet when spring comes with the rains and warm air they start to come alive again with green buds that burst into leaves and once again they look alive. They survive because they have deep roots. You cannot see them but they are there hidden under the ground absorbing nourishment for the tree or bush.
We as Christians need to have deep roots of faith in Jesus Christ, deep roots in the Holy Bible, deep roots in prayer, deep roots in the orthodox beliefs of the ancient church. Then no storm of life, no false doctrine, false teacher, no extreme cultural fad or any other false thing can uproot our faith.
Prayer: O'Lord, help us to grow deep roots of faith in You, in Jesus name, amen.

Ephesians 4:14-15Christian Standard Bible (CSB)
14 Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. 15 But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head—Christ.Prayer: O'Lord, help us to grow deep roots of faith in You, in Jesus name, amen.
