I like that Christmas song "Do You Hear What I Hear" that was written in 1962. It was written as a plea for peace during the Cuban Missile Crisis. I like the last two verses of the song,
The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light
The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light
And the truth is He did just that and the world has been better for it ever since that fateful night in Bethlehem.
Luke 2:4-6New King James Version (NKJV)
4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.
Prayer: O'Lord, now may we bring goodness and light to others through Jesus, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
