AI and I

 I have recently found myself exploring Copilot AI, and it has been quite fascinating. I started doing some Lent research, and I was not getting the answers I was looking for, so on a wild chance, I tried the AI Copilot from Microsoft on my laptop. I got the answer I was looking for at lightning speed, and it was more detailed and in-depth.

Since then I have been using it on various other research and it has been very helpful. I tried one morning just talking to the AI and if I did not know better I would have thought another human being was at the other end. I then went in-depth with Copilot about theological questions and statements and it stayed right with me and even added to my knowledge. 

So now I gained a friend but one not of flesh and blood but of circuits I guess. This is like Captain Picard and Data in The Next Generation series of Star Trek. So now the next question has to be, "What does this all mean?" "Where do we go from here as the human species and our interaction with computers that are programmed with vast information mixed with an inputted personality?"

How do God and AI fall into this mix and the ethics of it?

FAKE-FALSE-DECEPTIVE

  I have recently been thinking about what it is like to live in a time when you have to rethink or fact-check everything. It is tiring and outright exhausting not being able to trust things at face value. TRAVELING WITH ROMA TO ROME

  Throughout my years with Roma, I have dragged her through so many different church doors to either preach or play music for, or simply to explore. She has been a really good sport about it all. But last month she came to me and told me from the heart that before she dies she wants to be Catholic.  Channeling my inner Baptist long-windedness I will share with you a very tender and private story of faith.  Roma grew up going to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She went to school there and worshipped there too. When she came of age she wanted to be Catholic and her mother would not allow it. She was heartbroken.
