The three verses below are famous for when clergy needs more money for the church. Yes, salvation is free but the ministry does cost. But do we not rob God more than just with our money? Do we not rob God of our time to be His hands and feet here on earth? Do we not rob God of His glory when we do not stop and try and help other people in need? Do we not rob God of praising Him and thanking Him by not showing up to church for worship?
9. You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me,
Even this whole nation.
10
10. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.
Malachi 3:8-10New King James Version (NKJV)
8 8. “Will a man rob God?
Yet you have robbed Me!
But you say,
‘In what way have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings.
9
Yet you have robbed Me!
But you say,
‘In what way have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings.
9
For you have robbed Me,
Even this whole nation.
10
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.
Prayer: O'Lord, forgive us of robbing You in so many ways besides just in our tithes and offerings, in Jesus name we plead, Amen.
