I have been reading and thinking a lot about the Millennial generation and usually, you hear about the bad things but not so much the good about this young generation that everyone thinks they all live in their parent's basement. It seems the churches are crazy mad at them because they are not big on joining a church or even going to church. My generation joined churches, clubs, and other social opportunities because that is just what you did and normally with no questions.
But let me share with you what I like about the Millennials, for one they have a deep sense of justice and what should be fair. This brings me to number two they think about others more than we give them credit for and thirdly they are fiercely loyal when they believe you are authentic and relevant. So if the church wants them to join then you must show them authenticity and not be fake, and also you must show them why the church and being a Christian is relevant to their lives and the community they live in and it would not hurt to show how you reach out to the world. I would have liked it if my generation had asked the church to stop entertaining us and show us authentic relevance.

Colossians 1:6-8New Living Translation (NLT)
6 This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.
7 You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf.
8 He has told us about the love for others that the Holy Spirit has given you.
Prayer: O'Lord, thank you for this young generation that so fiercely holds to the Christian faith, may we learn from their example, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
